Having a Discord server would allow Oppo meets to be much easier to communicate since nearly everyone has a smartphone. Especially for cruises. Imagine being able to set up your nickname in the server (example: “NKato [Silver Interceptor]”) and using it to coordinate group cruises and meetups.
Would allow for easier communication for those who are on-the-go since Discord also supports voice chat! Can even set up independent voice channels for a cruise or oppo meet.
What do you think, guys?

We need a general-purpose Discord, though. One that’s geared towards Oppo meets and Oppo cruises, with the goal of improving the logistics of things.

We do have a ‘general’ Discord as far as I know? Not many of us are on it yet and it hasn’t really been active much with only so few people, but the more the merrier!

No, that’s me I’m referring to as a luddite, which stinks because I work in IT ;). I have seen references to discord all over reddit, but when I look into it it just sounds like a voice chat system. I have no desire to voice chat with a bunch of random people... and subreddits that refer to discord channels... why not just post in that sub?
refer to myself as a luddite only because I’m really hesitant to open accounts for all these random things... why use Instagram to post pictures on facebook, why not just post the picture on facebook? so I don’t have an instagram... I have no interest in snapchat, I think... etc
